Summertime, and the livin' is easy

Well, we are still alive, if any one was wondering.  I was hoping to not go more than a month without updating this, but alas, it is way passed the 19th of June...so here we are now, updating in August about all the adventures we have been on this summer.  One of them being a broken camera lens--bums.
So without further adieu, our summer:

Heart of the City is a place we love to go, especially if Uncle James is with us!  This was Torin's first time (it was the later part of June), and let's just say it's taking a while for him to actually enjoy his time in the water.

Lachlan LOVES going to the fountains!

(Uncle) James had a good time conquering the place

Torin, on the other hand...

He was ok standing up with Mama and chewing on his red ball.

My birthday was at the end of June, and it was a great day.  Filled with family and friends, Lake Harriet, ice cream, The Edina Grill, and spending the majority of the day with a dear friend, who could ask for more?

Ok, so the picture is blurry, but I needed to show that Lachlan climbed up this ladder to the slide all by himself and without telling us.  And then because of the pole at the top of the ladder, he couldn't get to the slide!  So Sara needed to go and save him.  I guess Lachlan is getting a little fearless?

The weekend of the 4th, we went with Auntie Molly, Uncle Aaron and Evie to the Holiday Inn water park in St Cloud for a night.  It was great because, aside from spending some quality time with them, there was hardly anyone there.  We pretty much had the place to ourselves AND I won my first prize from a claw game!  (we got free game tokens, so I used those--I don't know if I would actually use my own money to try one of those games...)  I was so stoked.  It was a big squishy baseball that Lachlan loves.  On the 4th, we went to Aunt Joanie and Uncle Bob's house to swim.  FUN!  Lachlan spent about a half hour straight throwing balls in the water and always wanted Grampa to take off his scuba mask--too scary!

Cannon Ball!

Nana and Torin

This is where he stood for the majority of the time in the pool.

Snuggling with Auntie Murmur
One day I decided to dress them in the matching LSU shirts that Auntie Sara had given them.  I only had my 'mega zoom' lens since our other one bit the dust, so we get to see the boys way up close!
Grass is fascinating!

Like brother, like brother

Hugs!
Uncle James came over for a weekend at the end of July and since it was supposed to 'rain', we decided to go to the Children's Museum-Lachlan and Torin's first time.  It was a big hit for all 6 of us-Emily, James, Luke, the boys and I.
Torin's 1st time climbing up steps

As you can see, he really likes it!

He could have crawled around here all day.

James and his creation.

He also created a story.  And looks so chivalrous in his vest.

Building something spectacular.

This was actually one of Lachlan's favorite things at the Children's Museum--the faucets to wash your hands after coming in from playing outside.

His favorite thing, No. 2.-driving the bus!  As we sang The Wheels on the Bus.

This was one of James' favorite things.  He stood here for quite a while bringing the flag up and down for people to cross.
This was one of Luke's favorite things-shopping at the grocery store.

Other than crawling around everywhere, this was one of Torin's favorite things-being a chunk of cheese.

And Lachlan's favorite No. 3- playing with the balls and the water.
August, AKA wedding season, has arrived-party time!, and we look forward to hopefully getting our lens back and it being fixed...
We are livin up the rest of summer, and thanking God for all His blessings!
New goal: to not wait a month and a half to update the blog.

Love ya, mean it!
Be here now.
